The Lifesaving Society NL Pool award is recognized as the standard measure of lifeguard performance in Canada. NL training prepares lifeguard’s in pool surveillance, to prevent incidents, specialized rescue techniques, communication and fitness and in the effective resolution of emergencies as needed. NL-Pool is worth two Grade 12 High School credits. You must be 16 years of age to be employed as a lifeguard.
